On September 1, 2012- We hosted a community 5K Walk - Walk for Wells which attracted over 200 participants. From the proceeds, we supported our first responders - we donated $2,000 to the Woodlawn Police precinct,
We also donated $2,000 to the Fire Fighters and the Burn unit in Baltimore City and donated $1,000 to the Randallstown Middle School.
Before the Well was Built
Through the support of generous donors, we completed five new wells in Kenya, Liberia, Cameroon and Nigeria, providing fresh water to over 12,000 people. In 2013, our goal is to complete more wells to reach over 20,000 people in Malawi, the Gambia, Cameroon, Kenya and Nigeria
Prior to our intervention, the students sat on the floor in their classrooms as shown above.
Arrival of the Chairs and Desks
We provided desks and chairs to schools in Kiwegu, Kenya in order to enable children learn in a more conducive environment .
We also supplied books to the schools in Kiwegu Kenya, to initiate and stock their libraries.
In July 2012, we embarked on a ten-day Medical Mission Trip with a team of five people. We catered to over 1,250 people that otherwise have little or no access to medical care. In these villages (near Mombassa), access to a medical clinic is several miles away from the people who do not have any means of transportation.
